Clock in, tasks, chat — companion app

Install & Setup

🪟 Windows

  1. Download and run the installer.
  2. Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC" — click More info → Run anyway. The app isn't code-signed yet, so this is expected.
  3. Follow the install prompts, then launch AmOS Agent.
  4. Sign in with your AmOS email and password.
  5. Approve the consent prompt to enable tracking — the app then minimizes to the system tray.

🍎 Mac

  1. Pick Apple Silicon or Intel above — check via Apple menu → About This Mac if you're not sure.
  2. Open the downloaded .dmg and drag AmOS Agent into Applications.
  3. First launch, macOS will say "Apple could not verify 'AmOS Agent' is free of malware" (or on some versions, that it "contains malware") and refuse to open it — that's Gatekeeper blocking any app that isn't Apple-notarized, not an actual problem with the app. Clear it once:
    1. Click OK on that dialog.
    2. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the bottom — you'll see a notice that AmOS Agent was blocked. Click Open Anyway, then authenticate.
    3. Open AmOS Agent again from Applications. A second dialog appears with a real Open Anyway button — click it.
If that doesn't appear, Terminal works too: xattr -cr /Applications/AmOS\ Agent.app
  4. Grant Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions when prompted (System Settings → Privacy & Security) — required for activity tracking.
  5. Sign in with your AmOS email and password. The app lives in the menu bar.

This only happens because the app isn't Apple-notarized yet — it's not a sign of anything wrong. It's a one-time step per Mac.

🤖 Android

  1. Download the APK, open it, and tap Install.
  2. Android will warn about installing from an unknown source — that's expected for an app outside the Play Store. Tap Settings in that prompt, allow this source, then go back and install.
  3. Open AmOS and sign in with your AmOS email and password.

This is a companion app — clock in/out, tasks, breaks, leave, and R-Chat. Screenshot and activity monitoring stay Mac/Windows-only; Android doesn't allow a third-party app to capture other apps in the background.

Using the app

  • Clock In / Clock Out tracks your work hours for the day.
  • Clocking out does not sign you out — you'll only see the login screen again after choosing Sign out.
  • Screenshots and activity are only captured while you're clocked in, per Amphin's monitoring policy.
